 Native born Florida resident, with the exception of his Military service; Mr. Lawrence has strong family ties to Florida. He attended college in Daytona Beach.. He served proudly in the Navy; onboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Midway; and taught English to foreign nationals, while serving over seas. He has served in the area Rotary Club and on the local Board of Directors of the Central Florida Soap Box Derby Association. His other interest includes wood craft and Antique Automobile restoration. His first poem �??The Flag of Our Great Nation�?? was written in the fifth grade and his first song composition when he was eighteen years old. Florida has always held a special place in his heart; where he resides along with his wife and two children. Be it canoeing down a spring fed run or fishing along the inland and coastal waterways, its beauty surrounds him and captivates his heart. He firmly believes life is what you make of it, and with faith in God, anxiously awaits each day to unfold its splendor. Arising daily at 5:00 am to write for a bit then off to work; writing has become a passion for him and his only hope is his words may be enjoyed and provide anticipation and excitement to readers.
